Die moderne Arbeitswelt ist im stetigen Wandel. Der Trend geht hin zu:
- Fokus auf Qualifikation der Beschäftigten
- Flexibilität in Arbeitsort und Arbeitszeit
- Größere Diversität
- Mehr Bedeutung von Kommunikation und Organisation
- Flache Hierarchien
- Mehr Internationalität
- Bessere work-life-balance
Die Arbeitgeber müssen sich immer weiter anpassen, sodass folgende Dinge u.a. normal werden:
- Homeoffice
- Flexibilität
- Benefits (Sportangebot, Rabatte, ...)
"work-life-balance" bedeutet eine gesunde Mischung aus Arbeit und Freizeit
Gender Pay Gap
- gender pay gap beschreibt die Gehaltsunterschiede zwischen männlichen und weiblichen Arbeitnehmenden
- Frauen verdienen rund 18% weniger als Männer
- Zum einen liegt es daran, dass Frauen oft in anderen Branchen arbeiten als Männer
- Jedoch gibt es diese Tendenz auch bei ähnlichen Berufen
- Frauen erreichen viel seltener Führungspositionen als Männer
→ Mittlerweile gibt es teilweise eine Frauenquote, wodurch Unternehmen eine bestimmte (meist selbstfestgelegte) Prozentzahl an Frauen in Führungspositionen haben müssen.

In the centre, it shows a male employee in an office. He is sitting in front of his computer. On the right-hand side, there is a digital clock showing 4:45 p.m.. The employee is wearing a suit and he is looking at the clock. Moreover, there is a thought bubble above his head, saying "Every day´s the same...".
His facial expression is extremely bored and he is looking kind of desperate while staring at the watch. Due to his facial expression and his thoughts, the worker seems to be tired and is waiting for closing time. He is stuck in daily nine to five business. Therefore, he is not motivated to work.
Nine to five means a daily routine of working from nine o´clock to five o´clock. It is a common time-span in jobs and is often used in a negative connotated way. Studies show that this is an inefficent way to work. In fact, the productivity of the employees decreases over time.
In conclusion, the designer wants to show that some companies have a lack of innovation in their working areas. It reflects a situation where old concepts influence the working world, although everything else in our working surroundings develops in a modern way.
