Barrierefreiheit Erklärung
Last Updated: March 04, 2026
This document was provided by AccessiWay to meet the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA). Each complex section is introduced with a simplified explanation.
1. Introduction
We want all consumers to be able to use our digital services effectively, including consumers with disabilities. In this document, we explain what we are doing to ensure that our digital services covered by the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) are as accessible as possible. In doing so, we comply with the rules of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the WCAG guidelines.
simpleclub stands for inclusion and accessibility. Our goal is to enable all users—regardless of physical or technical limitations—to use our website and app independently and without barriers.
This accessibility statement describes how we fulfill the requirements of the European Accessibility Act, the EN 301 549 standard, WCAG 2.1, and the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG), as well as what we do to maintain and improve accessibility. This statement applies exclusively to our digital services that fall under the EAA or the BFSG and are directed at consumers (defined as customers within the meaning of § 13 BGB).
We review this statement regularly as we continue to improve our digital services.
2. Overview

3. Accessibility Compliance (How We Meet the Requirements)
We have evaluated our digital services against the European Accessibility Act, EN 301 549 standard, WCAG 2.1, and the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG). In doing so, we adhere to the following principles:
- Perceivable:
- Text alternatives for non-text content: All meaningful images, icons, and media have descriptive alt text or labels.
- Information is never conveyed through color alone.
- Logical structure using headings and lists for screen reader navigation.
- Adaptable content: Text size can be scaled up to 200% without loss of functionality or user interface degradation.
- Sufficient color contrast (at least 4.5:1 for standard text).
- Operable:
- Full keyboard accessibility for all functions, menus, links, forms, sliders, and interactive controls.
- Highly visible keyboard focus and ARIA landmarks for navigation.
- No keyboard traps (ability to navigate freely into and out of all components).
- Controllable dynamic content (pausing, manual slideshow navigation).
- No flashing or flickering content that could trigger seizures.
- Understandable:
- Clear, simple language (B2 level) with clear instructions and error messages.
- Consistent layout, uniform navigation, and meaningful page titles.
- Automatic detection and correction of minor input errors in forms.
- Robust:
- Testing with common assistive technologies (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on Mac/iOS, Talkback on Android).
- Testing with screen magnification and high-contrast mode.
- Compliance with WCAG 2.1 (Level AA) criteria and the EN 301 549 standard.
4. Ongoing Monitoring and Maintenance
Accessibility is not a one-time project for us, but an ongoing process. Here is how we ensure continuous accessibility:
- Accessibility Coordination: An Accessibility Coordinator oversees all accessibility initiatives (Email: accessibility@simpleclub.com).
- Accessibility Team: Accessibility experts review every new relevant feature or major change prior to release, alongside tracking changes in laws and standards.
- Regular Training: Our developers and content teams receive regular training on accessible design (e.g., ARIA techniques, color contrast, meaningful link text).
- Automated and Manual Testing: Our development workflow includes both manual reviews and automated testing to safeguard existing accessibility features across code updates.
5. Known Limitations and Alternatives
We are currently unaware of any major areas that are not accessible within the scope of the EAA and BFSG.
Technical Limitations in Detail:
- Some third-party embedded pop-ups are not accessible with screen readers, and embedded image banners lack alternative text.
- The Flutter framework imposes certain technical constraints (e.g., missing ARIA roles or lack of keyboard focus on specific widgets).
Our team is working continuously to identify and resolve remaining barriers. The next audit is scheduled for August 2025.
6. Feedback and Contact
If you encounter barriers or have suggestions, please contact us anytime. We will acknowledge your feedback within 5 business days and aim to resolve the issue within 10 business days.
